Taking Refuge in the Rain |
|
Regardless of the fluttering papers all over the city, or the wind soaked
windows, one can stay out in the slanting rain and wind without worrying
about returning home.
Walking on the misty streets, stepping on the damp ground, embracing the
swirling raindrops, and kissing a serene heart.
We live in the hustle and bustle of the city, seeking a way out for our
souls amidst the care and expectations of our surroundings. Home and school
make up the entirety of our lives, but we still need a place to rest our
souls. Trapped in the concrete jungle all day, we are exhausted both
mentally and physically by this mechanical existence. We truly need a
peaceful and tranquil environment.
We cannot escape from society, and it is impossible to have a leisurely life
like "picking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence, leisurely viewing the
southern mountain." Therefore, I seek a refuge for my soul in the rain.
I enjoy sitting alone by a clear pond on a rainy night, watching the rain
shatter the reflection of the lamp in the water, creating ripples that
gradually spread, conveying a distant call from the bottom of my heart. I
also love strolling in the drizzle-filled alleyways, feeling the leisurely
and joyful dance of the raindrops on my face, welcoming the blessings of the
rain, and experiencing the coolness that spreads through my body and soul.
I also love leaning against a small building, listening to the beautiful
rhythm of the raindrops, and savoring the eternal infinity of life. Refusing
to be shaken by the wind and clouds, refusing to be overcome by the raging
waves and flying raindrops.
The rain is calm, it leads our hearts to lose the previous anxiety and
restlessness, and fills us with overflowing hope.
Under the infinite pressure of academic studies, I have found a sky where I
can release my worries and a clear spring where I can be free.
The rain outside the window is still falling, and I, in the classroom, still
have to run towards my distant dreams. The wet tissue in my hand can still
squeeze out water, and the air in the quiet exam room is full of tension.
The rain still falls, and the wind still sings.
Let your soul be immersed in the rain, and you will find that life, which
may seem dull, is actually full of vitality, and that the seemingly gray
existence is sprinkled with beauty everywhere.
Take refuge in the slanting rain and wind, washing away the bitter tears,
and dispelling new sorrows. There are no traces of rain in the sky, only the
breath of a purified soul.
In this slanting rain and wind, return home a little later. |
