As winter gives way to spring, people shed their heavy coats
and opt for lighter clothing, and there is a sense of anticipation. The
seeds that have been dormant in the frozen ground all winter are ready to
sprout and see the world. With the desire to explore and grow, these tiny
seeds root themselves deeper and absorb nutrients from the soil. They break
through the hard soil, even encountering rocks that they must push past.
Although the rocks are thousands of times harder than the seeds, they
persist and explore upward.
Finally, the seeds see a ray of sunshine and emerge from the ground. The
outside world is far more beautiful than they ever imagined, and they meet
their companions, bask in the warmth of the sun, hear the birds chirp, and
see the blue sky. Despite their smallness in such a vast world, they
continue to grow. When storms come and mud splatters their leaves and
branches, they don't bow their heads. Instead, they face the sun with their
heads held high.
Day after day, they become tougher and more resilient, producing many
offspring, but they continue to grow for their dreams. I admire these seeds
when I see them growing in the crevices of rocks. Their toughness and
refusal to surrender are admirable qualities we should learn from.
I also have an idol I admire. Amid the Korean pop culture craze, there is a
local singer named Zhang Jie who is not as good-looking as the Korean stars,
nor is he a king of songs or a national singer. However, he has been
persisting for ten years, never giving up despite the ups and downs. From
starting in a small underground basement and charging fans for watching
movies with him to placing fourth in a talent show, he has become a
successful man who never stops moving forward. Currently, he is
participating in the second season of "I Am a Singer" with his excellent
voice and a heart that never gives up. Like a seed, like Zhang Jie, we
should grow for our dreams, no matter how difficult it may be, and live
beautifully. |
