It was around 10 o'clock at night, and I was waiting at a
bus stop after finishing work. There was a nearby coffee shop, the only open
store in the area. I noticed that the owner was not in a hurry to close the
shop, perhaps due to the occasional late-night guests.
As I was waiting, two suspicious-looking men entered the shop and ordered
coffee. They talked for a while before moving towards the counter where the
shopkeeper was sitting. The owner seemed to know them already, but after a
few minutes, their conversation became heated. I could hear them arguing,
and then one of the men pulled out a knife and threatened the shopkeeper.
The other man took the cash, and I was in a dilemma. I wanted to help but
didn't know what to do. The shopkeeper, however, was brave and refused to
let the robbers leave without a fight. He raised a commotion and made it
difficult for them to escape.
Just then, a bus arrived, and the robbers fled the scene. The shopkeeper
tried to call for help, but it was too late. The other people waiting for
the bus were also in a hurry and did not stay to help.
Feeling heavy-hearted, I boarded the bus, regretting that I had failed to
save the shopkeeper. It was a shocking experience, and I realized that we
should always be vigilant and ready to help others in need. |
