Memories of a Deep Autumn Evening |
|
I sat quietly by the window, while you slept peacefully in the pure white room.
The mischievous rays of sunlight played on your face, and memories of our past
flashed through my mind.
I remembered waiting for you on a deep autumn evening in the campus. As people
slowly disappeared, I wandered around, waiting for you. I knew you would come,
and I believed in you, because you were afraid of the dark. As the moon climbed
up the rooftop, the neon lights in the vast campus were the only company I had.
Finally, I saw you rushing towards me, but there was something amiss in your
eyes, something you were hiding. I didn't ask, I knew what it was and what I had
to do. So the neon lights came back to life, buzzing with the excitement and joy
that they were meant to bring.
We had different hobbies, different worlds, and different personalities, but we
understood each other so well. And then came that frantic phone call from you,
with your helpless voice: "He's gone!"
I ran to your house and found you in a corner, sobbing softly. You lifted your
head and looked at the crystal ball, then suddenly grabbed it and smashed it on
the floor. The shattered pieces mixed with your tears as they fell. I held you
tight, letting your tears flow freely. I didn't know how long it took, but at
some point, the fine rain began to fall outside the window, and the moon hid her
tears behind the clouds.
Early in the morning, I went to your house with the dim moonlight as my guide.
As I looked up at the dark blue sky, a strange feeling of unease crept into my
heart. I pushed open the door and was hit by a pungent smell. And then I saw you
lying on the floor, surrounded by a pool of blood. Time seemed to stand still. I
sat beside you, holding your hand and speaking to you, my tears rolling down my
cheeks. After what felt like an eternity, the ambulance arrived, and we rushed
to the hospital with a sense of urgency. As we sped along, the flashing red
lights blurred my vision, and tears streamed down my face.
Looking at you, still sleeping peacefully, I clasped my hands together and
prayed for you. The memories of that deep autumn evening remained etched in my
mind, and I knew that I would always be there for you, no matter what. |
