The Joy and Struggle of Learning |
|
The image of Confucius reciting his Analects, the Tang Dynasty's Poet Laureate
reciting poetry, and the modern writer Lu Xun creating literary masterpieces all
reflect the value of learning. Yes, learning is precious.
In the long river of life, how many people are striving to learn, and how many
are troubled by it? They are troubled by the laborious process of learning, and
the sacrifice that learning demands. It is well understood that learning is
perceived as a tedious task by many, but for those who love learning, it is a
source of joy.
In my view, learning has its ups and downs. Only through silent efforts can we
achieve unexpected success, which is the beginning of a colorful and interesting
life. Although my exam results were not among the top, I have always been
obsessed with learning and lost in the world of novels. This is because I
believe that "the sword is sharpened by grinding, and the fragrance of the plum
blossom comes from the bitter cold." As long as I work hard to learn, I can
succeed.
When I was in elementary school, I hated English class. I always felt like the
teacher was reciting scriptures, and I couldn't concentrate. However, in middle
school, I realized that English was an essential subject. When I discovered
this, I began to work hard on my English skills, listening, reading, and writing
every day.
I remember one time when I didn't know how to solve an English problem, and I
"went through fire and water" to seek help from my classmates. However, I didn't
have many friends, and no one was willing to explain it to me. So, I went to ask
the teacher, and finally, I got the answer right. Through my own efforts, my
English test scores improved from the 50s and 60s to the 70s and 80s. My
listening and dictation scores also increased from the 70s and 80s to 100. It
was then that I realized the joy of learning. Learning is not just about
sacrifice; it contains the joy of reaping rewards from hard work. |
