The Bittersweet Last Moment of Elementary School |
|
Slowly but surely, the once light and carefree footsteps became heavy. As young
children ran past, their peers were lost in thought about a particular matter.
It was the end of the day, and everyone was supposed to happily return to school
to receive their report cards and awards. However, this year was different from
the previous ones, as it was the last time they would receive report cards in
elementary school. Additionally, they would have their graduation photos taken.
While watching their classmates busily prepare for the photoshoot, how many of
them wore genuine smiles on their faces? From the top of the tall academic
building, they could see the younger children below, cheering and discussing how
the sixth-graders were lucky to have no homework during the summer. Little did
they know, when they reached this point, it would be their first time craving
for summer homework.
As everything was set, everyone's eyes were red, even the boys. The usually
talkative students had become silent. Witnessing this scene, the teacher
chuckled and said, "Come on, smile now that you're graduating to middle school!
Don't cry in the last moment. Leave behind a beautiful memory!" They were given
two minutes to prepare for the photoshoot. Everyone rushed into the bathroom
with their handkerchiefs, determined to not have any regrets in this last
moment.
After two minutes, everyone stood on the platform, and the P.E. teacher readied
the camera. "Click!" The most bitter part of their youth was now immortalized.
In that moment, they held back tears and left behind the most beautiful and
profound group photo of their elementary school years.
Finally, they walked into the middle school campus with their graduation photos,
no regrets in their hearts. Looking back, their bittersweet elementary school
years had passed, and they were now about to embark on a more challenging path
in life. |
