A Student's Desperate Wait for Class to End |
|
The teacher was excitedly waving her hands as she summarized the main points of
the text, which mainly covered the period of resistance during the fall of
Beiping and the sorrow of an ordinary teacher. Little Bai, who was sitting in
class, patiently endured the lecture, hoping that it would end soon. He hadn't
been paying attention to what the teacher was saying. However, the more the
teacher spoke, the more absorbed she became in the text, and the more anxious
Little Bai grew.
Glancing at his watch for the umpteenth time, Little Bai realized that there
were only five minutes left until class was over. The watch, which his uncle had
brought back from Switzerland, had an error of no more than 0.1 seconds per
month, and it was currently displaying the Beijing time that had been calibrated
just yesterday. Little Bai began to panic and feel a sense of hopelessness.
The teacher continued to speak enthusiastically, and Little Bai realized that
class would soon be over, but it seemed that the teacher wouldn't finish the
lecture. Little Bai regretted drinking so much water after gym class and wasting
his previous break time. The teacher remained calm and composed, without
changing her pace. Little Bai became increasingly anxious, and his palms began
to sweat.
When the minute hand on Little Bai's watch reached 12, the bell rang on time,
signaling the end of class. Miraculously, the teacher said, "That's all for
today's class," turning around with a calm expression. Little Bai prepared to
leave in a hurry. However, the teacher added, "Let's continue with the class
exercises." This unexpected blow caught Little Bai off guard and almost caused
him to fall over.
Little Bai could no longer bear it, or rather, he could no longer control his
bladder. A warm stream flowed out, soaking his pants. At the same time, the
teacher announced, "Class dismissed! Goodbye, everyone!" Little Bai was left
lying there, speechless. |
