The Power of Self-Improvement |
|
As the famous Chinese thinker Liang Qichao once said, "If our youth are wise,
our nation will be wise; if our youth are wealthy, our nation will be wealthy;
if our youth are strong, our nation will be strong; if our youth are
independent, our nation will be independent; if our youth make progress, our
nation will make progress." Reading these words from Liang Qichao's "Youth
China" made me realize that only through the continuous self-improvement of our
youth can China move forward.
For five thousand years, the Chinese people have been struggling, and so have
Chinese youth. When the country is prosperous, Chinese youth work hard to excel
and bring honor to their country. When the country is in danger, countless young
people have joined the military to defend their homeland. They have risen up to
fight for their country, and their efforts have inspired many other young people
to serve their country as well. The tireless self-improvement of Chinese youth
has always propelled the country forward.
After President Xi Jinping proposed the "Chinese Dream," the dream of the
Chinese people became the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The
beautiful dream of Chinese youth is to continuously improve themselves and drive
the development of China forward. We must work hard to achieve this dream. As
the saying goes, "Heroes come from the young, and waves push on waves." When
Beijing successfully hosted the Olympic Games, when the aircraft carrier set
sail, when the Jiaolong deep-sea submersible and the Shenzhou spacecraft were
launched, we felt proud as Chinese people. China is rapidly rising, and these
achievements are created by young people who have worked hard and strived for
self-improvement since their youth. "The sky is the limit, and a gentleman
strives for self-improvement." To achieve our dreams, we must work together,
study hard, and make progress every day.
When the seed of self-improvement was planted in my heart, I felt it immediately
take root and grow rapidly. I hope it will bear sweet fruit soon. As middle
school students and as young people, we are the future of China. Every step we
take will affect the future of our country. We must take action, aspire to
self-improvement, work hard, and strive to achieve our dreams. |
