My Beloved Hometown

Gaoping Town in Enshi, my beautiful and lovely hometown, is where I grew up. Here, there is no disturbance from the outside world, only peace; there is no bustling city, only people keeping pace with the rising sun; there are no dazzling streetlights, only a shimmering starry night sky; there are no towering buildings, only flat-roofed houses. But I love it here, because there is no human malice, only genuine smiles; no human neglect, only sincere faces.

Here, I grew up happily and freely. Without worries or troubles, I laughed to my heart's content.

The mountains here are not very majestic, but they are beautiful. The people here are not many, but they are amiable. I like the country roads here, the spacious grasslands, the smiling peach blossoms, and the green trees. I like the low chanting of cicadas in autumn, and the fluttering white snow. I have a deep, thick, and unbreakable emotional connection with this place.

Every person here is always so sincere, harmonious, and friendly. They watched me grow up step by step, and saw me mature step by step. It is because of them that I am who I am today.

Every day, I smell the fresh air, listen to the birds sing, and experience the beauty of nature. I can play, laugh, and run to my heart's content here.

I have spent twelve springs, summers, autumns, and winters here, and my memories of my hometown are always so vivid. The mountains and waters, the grasses and trees here are the yearning of every Enshi person. The blue sky here has seen the smiling faces of every Enshi person, and the fields here have left the footprints of every Enshi person. Enshi is the concern of every Enshi person, and she ties the hearts of every Enshi person!

I love myself, and I especially love my hometown!
