Dreams and Goals |
|
Dreams, the fantasies of a person; Thoughts, the reflections of a person.
Together, they make up the goals of a person's lifetime.
My dreams have been numerous and constantly changing. When I was in
kindergarten, I vaguely remember dreaming of going to the garden, the zoo, or
buying candy, and my mom could fulfill those dreams. In primary school, my
dreams seemed to be about studying harder, getting home faster, and being better
at sports.
Sometimes dreams are lofty, but if you think about it, it can be as simple as
wanting a close friend to play with when you first arrive in a new place.
Although I had that thought, I didn't act on it. The school was unfamiliar, and
everything from the trees, flowers, and grass to the people and even the chairs
and tables felt strange and frightening. Reading novels taught me how to
communicate with people, and that led to more friends.
Simple dreams bring happiness and joy, while complex and distant goals can also
exist, such as attending a good high school or university, finding a good job,
and taking care of family. Amidst the worries, I am striving to achieve these
challenging goals.
In middle school, I wanted to stand on the podium and receive an award
certificate, to share my recent academic achievements. Helen Keller's dream was
to regain her sight, even though she was blind, she never gave up. Einstein's
dream was probably to live a long life, with a genius brain, who wouldn't want
to live longer? (These are all just assumptions.)
There may not be just one dream, but multiple dreams. Achieving one brings a
great sense of accomplishment, and it motivates us to work towards the next one.
Dreams are like wings that carry us to soar in the sky. Dreams are like a
compass that guides us on our life's journey to reach distant horizons. Dreams
are like jokes that bring us joy. Dreams are like a sprout that grows and
blossoms in the soil of our hearts, bearing fruit. |
