The Source of Happiness

Happiness is found in the moment when one reaches the mountaintop after a long journey; it is found in the teacher's praise after burning the midnight oil; it is found in the tender sprouts that emerge after toiling the land; and it is found in the acceptance letter after ten years of hard studying...

"It is always darkest before the dawn." This saying is well-known because it speaks to the truth that without hardship, there can be no joy. Just like a sapling must endure storms to grow into a towering tree, or a flower must endure a heavy rain to bloom beautifully, or a dark cloud must be kissed by the sun to become a gorgeous rainbow. So, without the source of "hardship", how can the living water of "happiness" flow?

As a second-year junior high school student, I am currently facing a great deal of study pressure, especially in these recent days, as I am studying day and night to prepare for my "midterm exams". From 6 am in the morning, I start to study without any rest, and my teachers' constant reminders, my parents' close attention, and my classmates' academic competition are all testing me every moment. I often complain, "Why does life have to be so hard? Why does studying have to be so difficult?" However, then I think again, if this small amount of study tasks could crush me, if I am complaining about this small difficulty, then how will I face the more challenging high school study and the more challenging path of future learning? I will end up complaining endlessly and be miserable. Just think about Beethoven and Helen Keller, what kind of hardship did they face? They were deaf and blind, but they did not complain. They fought bravely, and in the end, they achieved a glorious life and the most profound happiness. Therefore, I should treat my current hardship as a joy, muster up confidence, and obtain the greatest happiness in my learning career.

"Happiness" always comes after "hardship," which is a natural law that cannot be changed. Let us follow this rule!

My friend, if you are experiencing hardship right now, you are actually brewing happiness!
