The Beauty and Bounty of Autumn |
|
Autumn arrives quietly with a cool and gentle breeze, bringing an abundance of
fruit and a sense of tranquility to the world. As the temperature gradually
drops, people begin to add layers to their clothing. Although not as vibrant as
spring, autumn brings a chorus of harvest songs.
The autumn maiden once again paints the leaves yellow, causing them to flutter
in the wind like beautiful butterflies. When they finally settle at the feet of
their tree mother, they enter a peaceful slumber like tired children. While
other leaves turn yellow and fall, the evergreen pine grandfather refuses to
shed its green coat, and the maple leaves become even more peculiar, turning red
in autumn after appearing plain in summer.
Autumn acts like an alarm, signaling to the migrating geese that winter is
approaching, prompting them to fly south.
In the flower bed, other flowers have withered away, leaving only chrysanthemums
to compete in a riot of colors, ranging from purple-red to pale yellow to
snow-white.
Autumn is a season of abundance. As far as the eye can see, the fields are
filled with golden grains. Sorghum holds up burning torches. Cotton blooms with
smiles. Soybeans are plump and full. The shining rice glows with a golden hue.
In the orchard, the fruits are full and plump, and the branches of the pear
trees are bent by the weight of the yellow duck pears. The red apples on the
trees resemble children's rosy cheeks.
Autumn is a beautiful painting and a season of bounty. I love autumn, I love the
harvest season of autumn. |
