My First Year of Junior High School |
|
As time flies by, today's me is no longer the little child playing house on the
grass or the elementary school student loudly reciting "The Bright Moonlight
Before My Bed". Today, I bid farewell to my childhood and enter my teenage years
with anticipation for the future as I step into Bijia Mountain Junior High
School, beginning my first year of junior high.
Only two days into the new school year, I already feel out of place. Perhaps
it's because I haven't fully transitioned from the happy summer vacation. I feel
a sense of sadness inside. I know that the freedom and joy of summer vacation
will disappear like smoke in the wind.
After starting school, my feelings are genuine because I know that I will be
entering an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar classmates and teachers.
Walking into the campus, my first impression is of freshness. The campus is so
clean and tidy, with lush trees providing shade. The teachers are so energetic
and engaging in their lectures, and the classmates get along so well and
enjoyably. All of this is very different from elementary school, and I find it
incredibly fresh and interesting.
My second impression is of fatigue. On the first day of school, after copying my
course schedule, I shuddered at the thought of having to attend up to eight
classes a day. I can hardly imagine the hardship of this kind of learning life,
so I have to encourage myself: "Success comes from hard work." The first day was
okay, with relatively little homework. But on the second day, the assignments
from all subjects kept coming.
My first year of junior high school life is like a bright sun, shining wherever
and whenever. It is like a young eagle soaring in the sky, broad-minded and
free. It is like the vast sea that encompasses everything. It will benefit us
for our entire lives and fill us with vigor, confidence, and creativity, making
our lives more colorful and beautiful. |
