My Silly Attempt to Grow Taller: A Childhood Memory |
|
When I was young, I was naive and foolish. Everything in this world seemed so
new and exciting to me. Looking back on the silly things I did, I can laugh
until my stomach hurts. Do you want to hear about it? Let me tell you a story
that even makes me laugh until I cry.
I remember it was when I had just started to stumble around and babble cute
words. My mom asked me if I wanted to grow taller, and I replied eagerly that I
did. She told me a story, but I was too busy thinking about how to grow taller
to listen.
Suddenly, my mom said she had to go water the flowers to help them grow. That
gave me an idea. If water makes flowers grow, maybe it could help me grow taller
too. I quickly filled a new water jug from the storage room and poured the water
all over myself, thinking it would make me grow taller. It was freezing, but I
didn't care. I thought I had found the solution to my problem.
When I looked at myself in the mirror, I was still the same height. I sneezed
and cried, "I want to grow taller!" My mom saw me and burst out laughing.
I failed miserably in my attempt to grow taller. That's the story of how I, a
silly girl, tried to grow taller but used the wrong method. |
