The Power of Hope |
|
Hope is the encouragement we need in times of failure; it is the helping hand we
seek in moments of helplessness; it is the sunshine that brightens our darkest
days. I have many hopes, and I hope...
I hope for a happy Eighth Day. Faced with mountains of homework, I feel helpless
and frustrated on weekends. Why not call it the Seventh Day instead? I hope for
an Eighth Day, a happy, carefree, and unrestricted day. On this day, I can
listen to music, play on my computer, and read novels. I can play games with my
pet or roller skate on the cement and feel like I'm flying. I truly hope for a
happy Eighth Day.
I hope for a pair of invisible wings. With these wings, I can fly to a lost
child's side and return them home safely. I can rescue children from criminals
who traffick them. I can bring warmth and comfort to parentless children. With
these wings, I can help tired adults deliver letters and buy groceries. I can
help my friends communicate with their caring parents. I really hope for a pair
of invisible wings.
I hope to be a observant writer. I love writing novels and watching the
characters' stories unfold. However, my weak observation skills make my stories
empty. Observing the growth of the first blade of grass in spring, the blooming
of the first pomegranate flower in summer, the falling of the first yellow leaf
in autumn, and the blooming of the first red plum blossom in winter, and then
using beautiful words to organize them into a novel would be wonderful. I truly
hope to be an observant writer.
Hope can inspire us to strive for excellence, motivate us to work harder, and
push us to be our best. I have many hopes, and I hope... |
