A Fun Day at the Strawberry Farm |
|
On Saturday, my dad, mom, my classmates and their parents, and I planned to go
strawberry picking at the Pomegranate Village. We all gathered together in a
caravan of cars and drove for about two hours until we arrived at our
destination around noon.
As soon as we got out of the cars, I noticed how different the countryside was
compared to the city. There were no towering buildings or congested traffic,
just one-story farmhouses with their own yard. The fresh air felt so
invigorating, and I felt instantly relaxed. The so-called "strawberry fields"
were actually rows of strawberries planted inside plastic greenhouses. We all
eagerly ran inside the greenhouse. I had always thought that strawberries grew
on trees, but here I learned that they grow on vines. I saw countless red
strawberries hanging from the green plants, and they were so beautiful. I was so
excited that I forgot all about getting dirty, and I quickly started picking
strawberries. In no time, I had already filled up two bags.
After lunch, we had some free time to play. We jumped rope, played tug-of-war,
and kicked a soccer ball around. During the tug-of-war game, each team had five
players, and the parents cheered us on from the sidelines. We all put in so much
effort that we actually managed to break the rope, and the game ended in a tie.
When we returned home, even though I was tired and covered in dirt, my
excitement returned when I saw all the red strawberries I had picked. It was
truly a fun day, and I felt so happy to have spent it with my family, friends,
and their parents. |
