A Weekend Outing Gone Awry |

After enduring a hectic two months of exams and work, my family and I eagerly
anticipated a weekend escape to the beach. We packed our essentials and set out
early Saturday morning, determined to enjoy a much-needed break. However, before
we could depart, my dad received an urgent work call, threatening to derail our
plans. With a stroke of luck, he convinced his colleague to manage without him,
and we resumed our journey.
Unfortunately, our luck soon ran out when our car suffered a flat tire. The
delay added to our frustration, which had already begun to build from the strain
of our busy schedules. We eventually arrived at the Rest House, but our
eagerness had waned, replaced with a sense of struggling to find some semblance
of leisure.
Despite our reservations, we attempted to make the best of the day, frolicking
in the waves and indulging in a hearty lunch. We even joined the local fishermen
on their boats, which proved to be a thrilling but risky endeavor. Our
excitement was short-lived when my brother fell out of the boat and hit his head
on a hard surface, resulting in a severe gash above his right eye.
Our family's elation quickly turned to dread as we rushed my brother to the
hospital for stitches and injections. What was meant to be a relaxing weekend
outing turned into a harrowing nightmare. |
