Dave was in a dilemma. He was organizing a party net
week and wanted to invite

Gary. However, two days ago, Jeff and Gary had a

Dave decided to ask Jeff first since he had known

longer period of time. Jeff apologetically told Dave

Dave was disappointed but he understood.

extended the invitation to Gary. Gary happily
accepted the invitation. Dave was glad. He thought

A few days later, Jeff approached Dave with good
news. He excitedly told Dave that he had gone home
to speak to his mother and she had allowed him to
postpone his tuition class in order to attend Dave's
party ! Dave was dumbfounded. He managed to give a

inwardly, he was worried.
For the rest of the day, Dave was unable to
concentrate on his lessons in school. He was ___9___
a loss as to what to do. After pondering over his
problem, Dave decided that instead of worrying ___10___
it, he would seize the opportunity to try and help
Jeff and Gary reconcile at the party. Hopefully,
