"Daliland," directed by Mary Harron, takes viewers on a journey through the life
of Salvador Dali, the provocative painter who became a brand in the 1970s.
Through the eyes of James Linton, an assistant at a New York gallery
representing Dali, the film showcases the artist's eccentricities and his
extravagant social whirl.
Ben Kingsley portrays Dali in his later years, adding depth to the character
as his quirks collide with the challenges of old age. While the movie
occasionally displays intelligence, it follows a conventional biographical
format, missing the opportunity to offer a fresh perspective on the enigmatic
artist. |
