Dear Amy I was so pleased to get your letter. It seems so long
since you returned back to the U.S.A. I'm glad you enjoyed your
stay in Malaysia and remember our beautiful sceneries. In your
letter you mentioned about my coming to see you in Nebraska one
day. Well, I would love to come but I need to save up money
first. Just think of the cost of buying all the warm clothings !
You asked about my studies. Well, I'm just about managing to
cope up but I do have problems with certain subjects. Last week,
one of the staffs in the Psychology Department suggested I drop
a couple of subjects. It was nice of her to give me an advice
but I really don't think I should drop subjects so late in the
semester.
We had some bad luck in the family last week. Remember Rosman,
my youngest brother ? You know, the one who is still schooling.
Well, he had a nasty accident. He was walking home from school
in the rain when he heard a car horning and a screeching of
brakes. The next thing he knew he had been warded with a broken
leg and cuts and bruises. All he can remember is that the car
was green in color. Anyway, he is out of hospital now and
smiling from ear to ear because he won't have to do homeworks
for another week or two.
I was sorry to hear you had some bad luck too on your journey
home. Thank goodness you didn't lose all your baggages. At least
you can claim compensation ! What bad luck that the jewelries
you ought in Singapore happened to be in that particular case.
I'll have to finish now, Amy, because Mother is calling me. It's
my turn to do the marketing.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best wishes
