Laura was worried. She was not in a (1)
familiar area any more. She was lost. She had been

through the streets hoping to see a familiar landmark but to no
avail. Her mouth was dry with anxiety and panic was

all over her face. The sea of strange faces staring at her only
made her situation worse.
Being lost in a foreign country was no laughing matter. It was
not only scary but dangerous as well. There was no telling what

character she might encounter. There might even be someone

somewhere waiting to pounce on her.
After a long half an hour, Laura finally saw a symbol she
recognized. She saw the logo for the local police station. She
felt just a little bit relieved that help was just a step away. |
