In "One Ranger," a lone hero hailing from Texas takes on the role of a world
savior, venturing across the ocean to defeat a dangerous terrorist threat.
Despite his skillful marksmanship and rugged persona,
the film falls short in its execution, offering a tiresome blend of traditional
action and predictable intrigue.
Director Jesse V. Johnson's lackluster effort fails to impress, with Thomas
Jane's portrayal of the ornery-tough Texas Ranger proving to be more caricature
than character. While Lionsgate is releasing the film in select theaters and
on-demand platforms, audiences may find themselves disappointed with its
uninspired and often ridiculous plot. |
