"Mother's Day" is a Polish action film directed by Mateusz Rakowicz, featuring
Agnieszka Grochowska as Nina Nowak, a retired ex-NATO Special Operations agent.
On Mother's Day and her son's birthday, Nina discovers that her son has been
kidnapped by a former enemy seeking revenge.
She must come out of hiding and embark on a mission to rescue him. While the
film delivers enjoyable fight sequences and showcases the talents of Agnieszka
Grochowska, it suffers from inconsistency in tone and a lackluster story,
leaving the audience disengaged.
Despite its potential, "Mother's Day" struggles to captivate viewers,
especially considering the recent release of a similar Jennifer Lopez film, "The
Mother." |
