The antidote to anxiety is action. Anxiety is often caused by
indecision. Indecision is one of the most exhausting things you can
participate in. It's draining, keeps you stuck in one place, and
it's terrifying. It's very tempting to think that the decision
you're trying to make is very important, and all action needs to
wait until you've made that decision.
But most of the time, if you're struggling to come up with the
answer, the fastest way to come up with it is to simply pick an
action that is possible and move forwards. Learning to do this in
small daily activities can teach you to do it in bigger life
decisions.
Practice taking action before your mind has come up with a certain
answer and you will teach your mind that you can live in
uncertainty, that it's okay to not know everything, and that it's
not expected to have the answer. It's difficult to get yourself to
do it. But in the long run, it's one of the most calming things you
can do for your mind.
