A Mother's Love and Sacrifice |
|
The person I admire the most is my mother. She doesn't have striking features,
with shiny black short hair, big bright eyes, and a pair of dimples when she
smiles.
Every day at home, the first thing I see is my mother doing housework. She
cleans the table, mops the floor, and wipes the windows with agility and
efficiency. In just a short while, everything in the house is spotless, as if it
were newly bought. I look at her busy figure and say, "Mom, you work too hard!"
But she just smiles and says, "I don't feel like it's hard work at all. As long
as you grow up healthy and do well in school, I am content." Seeing her
sweat-drenched face revealing a charming smile, I feel proud.
On a quiet night in the hospital room, a woman is working tirelessly to take
care of her child who has a fever. What is she doing? She is taking her child's
temperature and using a wet towel to cool them down, making herself sweat and
feeling very heavy-hearted. That woman is my mother, and that child is me.
Because of the high fever that wouldn't go down, I had to stay in the hospital,
and my mother took care of me there.
One time, I didn't know how to do a problem, so I asked my mother. Instead of
giving me the answer, she told me to think about it again. I was frustrated and
said, "I came to you because I don't understand. Why should I go back and think
about it?" My mother got angry too and said sternly, "To solve reading problems,
you have to first understand the article, feel it, and the problem will
naturally be solved. Go think about it!" I went back to my room with tears and
thought about it carefully. In no time, I actually figured it out!
My mother's qualities of hard work and concern for her family have touched me
deeply and helped me appreciate her love. I admire my dear and respectable
mother! |
