Memories in a Yearbook |
|
Without intending to, I picked up a pile of messy books and headed towards the
door, but one book did not fall. It had a yellow cover with three bold
characters engraved on it: Yearbook. In an instant, the tranquility I felt just
seconds before vanished. I felt a surge of joy and excitement in my heart as I
used my hands to brush off the dust and open the box-like container, flipping
through its pages.
One by one, I recognized the familiar smiling faces of my classmates, making me
reminisce about the playful days we had together. The happy couples who
constantly bickered over petty things, the 46 pairs of eyes in the audience
filled with excitement, and the mediator who never stopped stirring up the pot -
the classroom was filled with a thick sense of joy. Little did we know that our
teacher had taken note of everything that happened.
The round and neat handwriting, coupled with simple words, made me feel as if I
was looking at the innocent and carefree faces of my classmates. The messages
from my dear friends warmed my heart with love, leaving me feeling indescribably
moved and joyous, with tears welling up in my eyes. However, as I flipped
through the pages, the profiles of the male students were quite comical. Their
messages were short and sweet, and though I didn't expect them to write
beautifully, their spontaneous expressions were truly heartwarming. On the other
hand, the messages from the female students were lengthy and profound, causing
my tears to shimmer.
I still remember the teacher's earnest teachings in class, the promises we made
during the graduation ceremony, and the mischievous pranks we pulled while
taking our graduation photos, playfully calling "eggplant" as "cripple".
Gently closing the yearbook, I reflect on all that has happened in the past, but
they have become the most beautiful memories of my life. Whether the past was
happy or sad, I will keep these memories in the safest place possible and
cherish them forever. Occasionally, I will take them out and relive those
precious moments because they are the treasures that belong to us, eternally
stored in our hearts. |
