The Beauty of Autumn: A Golden Season |
|
In the early morning, you'll notice that overnight the rice paddies have turned
completely yellow, as if they have all put on festive attire. The endless waves
of golden rice fields sparkle and shine, rolling layer upon layer toward the
distant horizon, reminding one of the famous line from the poem "The River Flows
on" - "The rear wave pushes on the front wave".
Although there aren't as many varieties of flowers in autumn as there are in
spring, it is still a beautiful season. You won't find delicate and tender
flowers in autumn, but the chrysanthemums have their time to shine. They bloom
so passionately and freely, in shades of red as fiery as tea, pink as light and
elegant, yellow as radiant as the sun, and even in shades of dark green and
light yellow. They are captivating and enchanting. At this moment, the
chrysanthemums seem to burst out all their beauty, vitality, and strength,
offering it all to the golden autumn season.
As the leaves of trees turn yellow, they fall like dancing butterflies. Some say
that autumn is a "sad" season, and Ouyang Xiu's essay "Autumn Sound" is
certainly solemn and desolate. However, I believe that autumn is also full of
beauty and charm. The falling leaves are a beautiful sight. Even when they are
just tender buds, they provide information about the coming of spring. When they
grow into lush foliage, they absorb sunlight and water to strengthen the
branches of trees. In autumn, as they age and wither, they decisively leave the
trees and return to the embrace of the earth, becoming a source of nourishment
for the tender new leaves of the following year.
Winter may be pure, but it's also too cold. Spring may be bright, but it's also
too delicate. Summer may be bold, but it's also too hot. Autumn, with its
golden, fulfilling beauty, is a season that is difficult for people to forget. |
