My Talented Friend Gordon Huang |

In our class, there is a singer who is the same height as me, with a small mouth
and a sharp mind. He is even one of the top students in our class! One time
during class, he borrowed a set of song lyrics from a classmate, read them
through, and then started to sing. I was sitting in front of him and heard him
singing. It was like having a "boombox" next to me. He sang pretty well, and
even made some "singer-like" gestures.
During recess, he became even more audacious, swaying and singing out loud. He
often held his own "solo concerts", using a broom as a "guitar", and singing
alone: "I know what's right and what's wrong, I know generals...".
Sometimes he would collaborate with others to sing a song, and he would
occasionally seek someone to discuss and practice with him, singing a few lines
of popular songs.
Especially during music class, instead of singing the assigned lesson with the
teacher, he would take out a set of lyrics and start singing. When the teacher
walked to his side, he would "stay silent and follow" the teacher's lead. When
the teacher walked away, he would continue singing, "I'll send you away, beyond
the horizon, are you still there, the sound of the piano...".
Even when he was doing homework assigned by his teachers at home, he would sing
along. His parents could only control him for a short while, but they couldn't
stop his admiration for music. He often watched TV music shows and would only
watch those that sounded good. Hey! There's really no way to stop his love for
music.
That person is still my "best" and "best" friend. His name is Gordon Huang
(formerly known as Huang Jiang). Actually, I also enjoy listening and singing
music... |
