A journey to victory |
|
There are many outcomes in a person's life, some extraordinary, some
ordinary, some magnificent, some mediocre. Everyone has their own reasons
for living, and a person with dreams will continue to pursue them.
Each person's dreams are unique, perhaps for wealth, perhaps for fame,
perhaps for the entire human race or even the entire natural world and
universe.
In the past, I had no dreams, I simply focused on completing my academic
tasks diligently. I didn't spend much time imagining or envisioning my
future, and even if I did, it yielded no results. Back then, I had no
dreams, but I worked hard. However, fate loves to play tricks on people, and
after a long period of comfortable living, it throws a storm at you - my
dearest grandmother passed away. She died from an incurable illness. It has
been over a year since that event, and when I mention it, my heart is much
calmer. It was during this time that an ideal, or rather a dream, took root
and sprouted in my heart. Although it is not a specific goal, I will strive
for it.
In fact, this dream is simple - to learn scientific knowledge well and
become a person who is beneficial and useful to humanity when I grow up. It
sounds easy, but it's difficult to achieve. It may be the dream of many
people, but not everyone can turn it into reality.
Just look at all the successful people, past and present, from all around
the world. Didn't they all sacrifice a lot for their dreams? Madame Curie
discovered "radium" after losing her husband, and Einstein, who was once
considered mentally disabled in his childhood... Many, many people succeeded
because they had dreams, didn't they?
To pursue our ideals, we must have perseverance. "No one achieves success
easily" - this statement is true. In the pursuit of dreams, the path we take
will never be smooth and wide. Along this path, there will be winds and
rains, and even lightning and thunder, with thorns everywhere. Perhaps some
people will retreat, but we cannot. If we retreat, there is no hope, even if
the other shore is just a step away. I remember, I have also experienced
failures, and I was really frustrated at that time. Just when I was about to
give up, someone told me to remember: You will never fail unless you give
up.
Indeed, why would a group of galloping horses stop moving forward just
because of one misstep? Even if covered in mud, despite numerous wounds,
they still neigh, throwing their hooves and galloping!
It is in the pursuit of dreams that life becomes splendid. When we rise up
for the one thousand and first time after being knocked down a thousand
times, we become victors! |
