Embracing Challenges and Taking Responsibility |
|
Growth is a common yet profound topic. A sapling on the land will eventually
grow into a towering tree, while an orchid in a crevice cannot escape the tests
of wind and rain, becoming a resilient and tenacious flower. This is growth. A
small fish can only thrive by staying close to its mother, but eventually, it
becomes independent, no longer reliant on its mother for survival. This, too, is
growth.
However, I find myself still relying on my mother to dress me, cook for me, and
put on my shoes. My childhood was like this. Without my mother's meals, I would
go hungry. Without her clothes, I would freeze. That's how I am. Without my
mother's care and nurturing, wouldn't I have already perished like the
dinosaurs, silently and without a trace?
I am now in middle school, and I have learned many lessons in life. I no longer
struggle to dress myself, put on my shoes, or cook. I have come to understand
the importance of taking care of my dear mother and my family, as well as
looking after my beloved younger siblings. I cook for them and take care of
them. This is growth.
Some say that to "grow," one must endure everything and learn to grow in the
process. As we grow, we must constantly console ourselves and transform all
unpleasant experiences into happiness. Along our journey of growth, there will
certainly be joy. |
