The school bus is a familiar sight in many towns in Malaysia. Children find
it convenient as they can be picked up right from their homes and sent
safely to school. The service provided by the school bus is normally
reliable.
One feature of the school bus is that it is usually crowded and noisy as
students talk, laugh and shout among themselves as they travel to and from
school daily. They are a happy lot and
they find this is a good way to go to school together with their
schoolmates.
The only disadvantage is that they have to leave their homes very early
as the bus has to go around picking up the students living
scattered in two or three housing
estates close by. For some of these
students, it may still be very dark in the early morning when they leave
their homes. Likewise, in the evening, some of the afternoon students reach
home well after dark. Yet this is the most convenient way to go to school. |
