It happened during the school holidays last year. I was
feeling bored and restless, with nothing exciting to do—until one day, I
came across an advertisement in the newspaper about a circus coming to town.
Having never been to a circus before, I was filled with curiosity and
excitement. I immediately looked forward to seeing the show that very night.
We arrived early at the circus grounds to buy our tickets. While waiting, I
wandered around to explore the surroundings. But as soon as I heard the
growls of tigers and lions nearby, a wave of fear washed over me and I
quickly ran back to my parents.
Before long, we were seated and the show began. The first act was a humorous
performance by monkeys dressed in colorful suits and tiny hats. They rode
around the ring on horseback, looking just like miniature humans. Their
antics had me laughing non-stop.
Next came two graceful girls dressed in shimmering blue and silver costumes,
along with two male performers, all on the trapeze. As they swung through
the air, performing daring stunts and swapping places high above the ground,
the audience watched in awe. The soft background music added to the magical
atmosphere—it was truly thrilling.
Then came the clowns in their oversized costumes and faces painted in the
most ridiculous ways. One of them let out a loud cry, and to everyone’s
surprise, water squirted from his eyes! The crowd roared with laughter,
especially when he tumbled to the ground, and his shiny red nose lit up like
a bulb.
There were many other fascinating acts throughout the show. One that made me
feel uneasy was the lion performance. Though it was impressive, I couldn’t
relax until the lions were safely back in their cages.
By the end of the night, I was completely delighted. We returned home
feeling happy, and I realized that the circus was more than just
entertainment—it was a lively, fun-filled experience and a refreshing change
from the usual television shows. |
