One evening, as I was walking home from school around 7.30
p.m., I was alarmed to notice a group of rough-looking boys following me.
Feeling uneasy, I quickened my pace, but it wasn’t long before one of them,
who seemed to be their leader, stepped in front of me and blocked my way.
He demanded that I hand over my watch and wallet. At first, I hesitated and
tried to resist, but when he threatened to hurt me, I quickly gave in. I was
terrified, yet at the same time furious, because those items held great
sentimental value to me.
After taking my belongings, the group laughed and casually walked off to a
nearby coffee shop, leaving me standing by the roadside, seething with anger
and helplessness.
I initially thought of reporting the incident to the police, but eventually
I changed my mind and went straight home instead. I told my parents what had
happened, and they immediately agreed it was too dangerous for me to walk
alone. From then on, they arranged for me to travel home with our neighbor
by car, which put an end to my worrying journey. |
