Adolescence is a crucial period in one's life as it serves as a foundation for
the development of one's future. In Malaysia, it is said that the youth are the
driving force behind the success of the nation. Unfortunately, this generation
of youth lacks awareness of the responsibilities they bear on their shoulders.
There is a pressing need for youth with a broad outlook to support the
aspirations of the nation.
In this discussion, I will elaborate on the characteristics of the youth with a
broad outlook that are required in the nation of Malaysia. The youth with a
broad outlook should possess good manners and morals that can serve as an
inspiration to others. They must practice good manners such as speaking
politely, walking and eating gracefully, and dressing appropriately.
Furthermore, they should show respect towards their elders by speaking to them
in a low tone and bowing their head when walking in front of them. They should
also extend a helping hand to their friends who are in need. Moreover, the youth
with a broad outlook should not forget the commands of religion as all success
begins with obedience to the divine. These actions clearly demonstrate that
having good manners is one of the defining characteristics of the youth with a
broad outlook.
From another perspective, the youth with a broad outlook should be
well-informed. They should be avid readers as knowledge is only acquired through
reading academic materials. They must constantly seek knowledge by reading books
and engaging in intellectual discussions. It is common knowledge that the youth
are the inheritors of the nation's leadership and with their well-informed
minds, they will be capable of handling any challenges that the nation may face
in the future. Additionally, the youth with a broad outlook who possess
knowledge will not be easily misled by those who seek to take advantage of them.
It is clear that by having knowledge, the youth can become well-rounded
individuals and contribute to the aspirations of the nation.
Finally, the youth with a broad outlook must be determined and brave in facing
challenges. They should embrace the phrase, “Round things don't roll, flat
things don't fly," as a part of their ethos. They must have the drive to achieve
success and should not be discouraged by setbacks. For instance, they should not
lose hope when they receive poor results in exams, instead, they should use that
as a stepping stone towards greater success. The youth with a broad outlook
should have a positive attitude and always strive to better themselves, they
should not be satisfied with mediocrity. With determination and bravery, the
youth with a broad outlook will be able to tackle any obstacles that come their
way.
In conclusion, the youth with a broad outlook possess good manners, knowledge,
and determination. These qualities are necessary for the youth to fulfill their
role as the inheritors of the nation's leadership and support the aspirations of
the nation. The youth should strive to embody these qualities as they are the
key to their future success. |
