Health Maintenance for Self and Family
 
In the post-industrial and post-globalization era that challenges our minds, it has been shown that the health problems among our society have been increasing day by day. Despite the increasing convenience and complete health infrastructure, various outbreaks and diseases have affected all groups without regard to age. According to statistics released by the Malaysian Ministry of Health in 2011, the number of patients facing health problems has increased by 200,000 patients more than the number of patients in the previous year. This worrying figure should be a matter of concern that requires action from all parties. Hence, it is important for us to identify ways to maintain our health and that of our family in order to avoid health problems.

One of the ways to ensure that one's health is in good condition is by engaging in leisure activities. During leisure time, we are encouraged to engage in leisure activities such as sports and exercise. Exercise is a simple and easily applicable form of body stretching that can be done anywhere in a short period of time. For those who are interested in challenging physical and mental activities, sports are the best activity to ensure good health. Furthermore, engaging in leisure activities will bring about other benefits that are good for the self, family, and society as a whole. The full utilization of recreational areas and other sports infrastructure should be encouraged for those who are energetic. As a result, leisure activities can help us strengthen our physical and mental strength so that we are immune to diseases that affect our health.

At the same time, adopting a balanced diet is also essential in ensuring good health. It is noted that Malaysia is one of the countries with high levels of obesity in Asia. This shows that our society is not aware of the role of nutrition in health. Busy work schedules and the influence of advertising may have caused many in this country to not adopt a balanced and healthy diet. Despite various campaigns such as the use of food pyramids, the rate of obesity has not decreased. The action that each member of society should take is to reduce the consumption of fast food and junk food. Instead, cook your own food at home more often and bring a packed lunch to work or study institutions. With this method, we can determine the balance of food that we provide and save costs in the uncertainty of today's economy.

In addition, self, family, and surrounding area hygiene are important in maintaining health. This is because diseases can come from various sources, especially from unclean areas. Therefore, it is important to maintain hygiene by washing hands frequently, keeping surroundings clean, and reducing exposure to environmental pollutants. A healthy living environment can prevent various diseases from infecting individuals and their families.

To sum up, maintaining good health requires effort and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Adopting a balanced diet, engaging in leisure activities, and maintaining hygiene are the three important aspects of a healthy lifestyle that can prevent health problems. By maintaining our own health, we can also ensure the health of our family and society as a whole.
