worrying the minds of the people. The ability for the user to buy is decreasing
due to economic pressure, which is a bad reality for the country's economy. To
maintain the symbiosis between the supplier and the buyer, the ability to buy
can be done by practicing thriftiness. The various benefits that will be
obtained are particularly for the young generation if they practice thriftiness
when shopping.
In reality, it cannot be denied that today's youth generation shops more often
or in larger quantities compared to the previous generation. This is evident
from the increasing gadgets that are filling the market and required by the
youth to make their daily lives easier. However, they should shop within their
means and be thrifty by choosing high-quality and appropriate products for their
daily lives. As the Malay saying goes, "measure the clothes against your own
body", which means we should know our own abilities. This helps them in managing
their finances as it is necessary in entering adulthood.
In recent times, news about the youth being declared bankrupt has become a
polemical issue in our society. The use of credit cards in shopping without
caution and a lack of commitment to settle debts has caused many young people to
be categorized as bankrupt. Our personal record will also be affected if we are
involved with a lot of debt where the purchase of assets such as a house or car
can be blocked due to inconsistent payment records. Therefore, practicing
thriftiness can keep us from falling into a debt trap. There are various
alternatives that the youth can take advantage of to be thrifty, such as looking
for coupons, promotions, and discounts that are worth investing our money on.
Furthermore, practicing thriftiness provides us with tangible benefits, which is
to increase our savings for the future. For example, if an accident occurs
within our family, we should be prepared to help, especially financially. With
the savings we practice while shopping, we can help us save our excess income
for emergencies or the future. We plan, God decides, everything we have today
may be lost in an instant. Therefore, we should be grateful for our existence
and be as prepared as possible to face any possibilities in the future.
In addition, practicing thriftiness can foster a sense of self-reliance in
today's youth. This is because, if they are disciplined in practicing this, then
their savings will certainly be enough to support themselves. Youth like this do
not have to depend on others and will have a greater sense of self-worth and
security. |
